The line's last new ship before the addition of the two vessels, the 2019-built Norwegian Encore, was about 18% bigger than Norwegian Viva and Norwegian Prima at 169,116 tons. Different NCL Ship Classes
Norwegian Dawn, the smallest of the fleet sailing in Europe this summer at 92,250 gross tons, will also spend its summer in Northern Europe. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany (and originally built for Star Cruises), Norwegian Dawn was the first NCL cruise ship to feature hull art. The first Jewel-class ship, Norwegian Jewel premiered in 2005 after being built by Meyer Werft in Germany.
